As we fight the spam war and understand our enemy the first step is to stop your blog from emailing your groupwise account when a comment is sent to your blog. To do this you have to go to the dashboard of your blog.
Go right down to the bottom left and look under Settings. Then click “Discussion” Where it says “Email me whenever” uncheck both of these boxes. See the 2 photos below…
This will help stop the emails coming but not the SPAM….we are working on this – thanks for your patience
Not only can you link an SAS Student Email Account to your Mail application on your Mac, you can also link Gmail accounts, hotmail accounts…. almost anything except for yahoo. Watch this video to find out how!
Walking around the classrooms at SAS Pudong, I am always impressed by what our teachers are doing in their classrooms and how our students rise to the challenge. One year ago, I can safely say that we were still learning how to best use the technology at our fingertips. Many of the things we are doing now seemed so out of reach last school year. We are all still on a technological journey and we are all thankfully still learning, but, hey – look what we can do now!
Student engagement is always at the forefront of educational discussions. The fact of the matter is that when students are actively engaged, they are not only learning faster but they have a deeper and better understanding of the content at hand.
Good job teachers and good job students! I am so proud to be part of such an amazing learning environment here at SAS.

Changing your passwords periodically on your computer is a good thing. Remember than you can only change your password at school. Changing your password at school lets you access the school servers. You can change your password for both of these accounts from your System Preferences panel.
1. Log in to your personal account (you’re probably already logged in).
2. From the Apple menu (top left corner) choose System Preferences.
3. From the View menu choose Accounts.
4. Click the lock button if it appears locked; enter the administrator password “student258″.
5. Select the username whose password you want to change.
6. Click the Change or Reset Password button.
7. Enter your new password in both the Password and Verify fields, and add a hint if desired. 8. Click the Change Password button. Repeat these steps to change the “install” account password.
9. If a dialog box appears with the message “Your Keychain password will be changed to your new account password,” click OK.
Where should students go to help with their computers? Below is a list of different activities/applications we can help students with at school. Of course, I am happy to be the first point of contact but this may help some of our students save some time.
Plagiarism is always a hot topic in most schools these days. What is it? What’s okay to do and what is not okay to do?
