Today, the third grade students shared their second narrative with students in the other three, third grade classes. They paired up with students in another class and listened to that student's story and then read his/her own. Finally, each student then wrote down two things he/she liked about the story he/she heard and one suggestion on how to make a good story even better. Great job third grade! You have truly earned yourself a restful holiday. Merry Christmas and and Happy New Year!
Today, students had a lot of fun during our Christmas Party. They ate some healthy snacks and special holiday treats, made tree ornaments, cut-out snowflakes, unscrambled Christmas words and relayed in a race with candy canes. A special thanks to all the parents who made this special day possible.
Today in tech class with Mr. Romard, we looked at various informational sources on the internet and discussed whether all things found on the internet are true or not. One of the videos we viewed was a popular Youtube video about "Flying Penguins" that is posted below. We also discussed the different types of resource sites (.com, .org, .edu, and .net) and talked about how some sites are "bias" towards certain products or ideas.
What a fantastic job 3AK did at the Christmas Concert! I am very proud of you. Thank you parents for attending. For those parents who are away on business, I hope you are able to view the slideshow, until you arrive back in Shanghai. A special thanks to Mrs. Denton, the music teacher, for putting together such a special event!

Our class raised 1800 RMB for cancer research. For the month of "Movember" I grew a moustache to raise the money. Students placed their donations in a Shave It or Save It folder. The students decided to place the majority of the money in the Save It folder, so I have to keep my moustache for another week. For their hard efforts they got to wear their own moustache for the day. Great job 3AK.
