This week we have begun Unit 4 in the Everyday Math program.  This unit focuses on the most common uses of multiplication and division ~ those involving multiples of equal groups, equal sharing, and equal grouping.  The students are introduced to the basic multiplication facts using arrays, mental arithmetic, paper-and-pencil algorithms, and calculators to solve porblems involving multiplication.

Students are expected to memorize the multiplication facts.  Please help your child study and memorize the facts each night after working on the homelinks homework.
