Due to the 1/2 day schedule and student-lead conferences, the testing will take place over two days. You will be given a word bank to spell the words, ( therefore any missing accents, missing letters or added letters will cost you dearly) but you must know on your own whether a word is masculine, feminine, singular or plural. In other words, Should you put UN, UNE or DES in front of the noun?

This is a reminder to students that every time we finish a chapter in Les portes tordues, you can expect to have a 5-10 minute quiz the following class. It will be the small test that comes at the end of each chapter. There is no trickery here, just a clear expectation that you learn the contents of each chapter. There are 46 chapters all together…Wow, that’s a lot of quizzes! Lots of chances to show what you know!

Hi there, please follow this link to listen to numbers and repeat them out loud, to practice for the upcoming Oral Test. Yes, there will be an oral test on numbers 0-60, the date and the days of the week Friday, September 12. We’ll practice more in class, don’t worry!

Review, review and more review!
The first task is to consolidate what the students know, to be sure they have a strong foundation in the basics. So, we have gone over numbers to 1000, date, weather, introducing oneself with personal data, and introducing a classmate in the same way. We are revisiting physical and personality traits ( descriptive adjectives) to prepare for an upcoming cartoon project.

Review, review, review!
To get back into the swing of things, Level 2 is dusting the rust off of the French they learned last year ( and may have forgotten over hte summer!) We went over numbers to 100, date, classroom communication, introducing yourself and a friend. Next up will be descriptive adjectives, a cartooning project and formal grammar review.
