Writers Workshop On Thursday and Friday, students will have a mock formal ERB writing test which will entail 60 minutes of writing both days. We will use the results to identify any concerns with exam anxiety, pacing or writing technique. The days before, we will review the rubric used for the test and ensure we could tackle any formal writing test with confidence.

Social Studies
We will briefly review the North/South Dynasties, then enjoy the history of the Tang Dynasty. Developing a timeline for these ancient periods and having more pantomime will also be included.

Readers Workshop
Continue to read at least one non-fiction entry from either RazKids or HighlightsKids. Adding some non-fiction from our Ancient China and Electrical studies.

Math
We continue with Chapter 7, Fractions, and learn to perform math functions (addition, subtraction) and to rename the fractions to a simpler format and a decimal or percentage.

Science
We will build and compare simple electrical circuits; discussing the flow of electricity. We will identify why some materials are classified as insulators or conductors; and what those words mean.
