		<description><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://teachers.saschina.org/mspudong/files/2009/01/poster-2.jpg" title="poster-2.jpg"><img src="http://teachers.saschina.org/mspudong/files/2009/01/poster-2.jpg" alt="poster-2.jpg" align="left" height="296" width="226" /></a>We are pleased to announce that the Grade 8 students will opening the Reinvention Art Show this Thursday in the Orange Couch Room.  Parents are invited to come view paintings created by students anytime between  January 8 and January 22.  Students chose a pre-20th century painting where they reinvented the painting and made the painting relevant to our current time period.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The Re-invention Project pushed us to re-invent a famous art work produced before the year 1900. The Re-invention project was good for our brains because it forced us to be innovative in developing a concept for a painting. There are many ways to re-invent, but<strong> you </strong>have the <strong>choice</strong>  what to revent and how to reinvent it.&#8221; Michael K.</p></blockquote>

<p><strong>Welcome Back! We hope you all have had a safe and relaxing break.  We are in full swing  closing out the first semester and getting ready for the  second semester beginning next Monday. With a few weeks before Chinese New Years, we are encouraging the teachers to jump in quickly with new material and to continue to challenge the students.  Help us by reminding them all to read each night for a minimum of 30 minutes! </strong></p>

<p><strong>To All students who ride the bus:  Please remember that you must “swipe” your  school ID getting on/off the bus.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Mrs. Bister and Mrs. McDaid will not be  available for H.O.T today.</strong></p>

<p>Congratulations  to Mr. Claassen and all the performers at last night’s concert.  It’s been 3 great nights of music on our  campus!  Thank you to all the teachers  who provided support for the Arts Department this week.</p>

<p>A  reminder that we will all be meeting in the auditorium at 2 p.m today for the  LiMing School performance.</p>

<p>·          Station 1 - Dodge ball  tournament - MS Gyms (Mr. Poulin, Mr. Thornbury and Mrs. Wrzesinski + other  volunteers)</p>
<p>·          Station 2 - Talent Show -  Auditorium (Mr. Zigmand + Music teachers) <strong>Students wanting to perform must  sign up with Mr. Zigmand by <u>Today</u></strong></p>

<p>·          Station 3 - Board and card  Games - Cafeteria (Mr. Pantoja + Language and Art  teachers)</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><u> If you have a board  games that you could bring in for tomorrow’s activity day, please put your name  on the box and bring them in. </u></strong></p>

<p>Students in each advisory  should come to school dressed in a common color. Students can decide which color  their advisory will wear. Core teachers may volunteer to supervise their grade  levels as they rotate among the station areas.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>The Middle School Concert Series begins TONIGHT!  We are looking forward to a great turn out for the three events that we have planned for this week.  The kids appreciate your support and are very excited to share some of the projects they have been working on for the past several months.</p>
<p>Today, Mr. Claassen&#8217;s 8th Grade Strings class gave us a special treat by giving us sneak-peak of what is to come on Wednesday evening.  We hope you enjoy the shows&#8230;</p>
<p>Monday - 6:30pm - General Music and Choir<br />
