Dear Parents,
This year the Global Language Department will be taking part in the Student Led Conferences on November 6 and 7. We will be located in the LLH from 12:00-4:00.
In order to create a smooth transition from the middle school foreign language programs to the high school foreign language programs, we feel it is important to meet with the 8th grade parents during SLC to discuss your child’s progress as well as areas of strengths and weakness.
We plan to give priority to 8th grade parents during the following times: 1:00-1:30, 2:00-2:30, and 3:00-3:30 each day. In order to see the majority of the parents, we must limit the meeting times to 5-10 minutes each.
Parents of those students in grades six and seven, we would like to meet with you during the following times: 12:30-1:00, 1:30-2:00, 2:30-3:00 and 3:30-4:00. Your time will also be limited to 5-10 minutes so we may see every parent.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to meeting you.
Best Regards,
Global Language Department

In 1939, the Kuomintang Government decided to set the Teachers Day on August 27 - Confucius’s birthday, due to the turmoil, it was never carried out throughout the whole country.
In 1951, the New China government decided to set the Teachers’ Day on May 1, the same day with Labour Day, neither had this one ever been popular.
