The 2014 Bangkok Splash we will be the first time SAS will be competing as two SAS teams Puxi and Pudong. It is important that we send a complete team with at least 4 male swimmers and 4 female swimmers per age group to compete for Puxi. Bangkok is a  competitive swim meet and this is a good chance for swimmers to swim both short and long course events. Please contact your coaches as soon as you decide to participate and send in your event nominations. It is important that we have a SAS Puxi swimmer compete in all events available, so coaches may need to modifying event nominations to make this possible.

Dear Swimmers and Parents:  All SAS school sponsored events have been canceled this weekend so I am very sad to announce that our annual Candy Cane Swim Meet will not take place due to the poor air quality Shanghai is experiencing right now.  I do think our air quality in the aquatics center has been good today whilst the doors remained closed the majority of the time. However during a meet this would be a different case with much more outside air flowing in. Unfortunately we are unable to predict the amount of outside air flow into the center and how it would effect the indoor air quality.  With the levels over 500 today we feel it’s prudent to cancel this meet.  Jon Biros, Aquatics Director.
