Reading Buddies
Today we had a fantastic time with our reading buddies. They have been working really hard during Writer's Workshop and shared their stories today. The third graders wrote down what they liked about writing and then wrote about what their buddy likes about writing. To finish off the celebration we ate juice and cookies together.
Our science movies
Following our scientific study of sound with pitch and volume, we decided to make our own instruments. Then to showed that we truly knew our facts of sound in the iMovie videos we made. We explained how we can modify the pitch and volume as we play our instrument which we made at home. Click on our pictures below to bring up the movies we made. Enjoy!
Happy Halloween
I am looking forward to my sixth Halloween celebration on Friday 31st October. Coming from South Africa where Halloween is not celebrated I thoroughly enjoy the festivities with pumpkins, costumes and all the delicious treats that go along with the day. This Friday morning our class will be walking out towards the Auditorium at 8:40. Please come to school dressed in your costume. Try to guess who the third grade team will be dressed up as. The Halloween party will be between 10:00 and 11:30.
