We are BLOGGERS!
3ST each have their own blog.
Today our technology specialist, Mr. Power, came to our class to show us how to work in the back of our blogs. We learned how to change some settings, such as the title. We also looked at the appearance and chose a theme to suit each blog. How exciting.
Students can access their blogs anytime by going to the STUDENT BLOGS section on the right side of my blog. They have their own user name and password but know not to share it with other people.
One of our big jobs is to re-look at our blogging guidelines. Being a blogger means being responsible for the information we post, while also keeping safe by not giving out personal information such as surnames, birth dates, or addresses. Click here to read our blog guidelines.
We will learn how to write posts, add pictures, change our appearance, and some students will be aloud to add widgets (small applications to add to our blogs). Students have to show me that they are responsible bloggers before having these privileges…Sarah, Amanda, and Claire C are the first students who will be able to choose a widget to add to their blog. They have been reading blog posts around the world and writing good quality comments.
Soon, I will be adding the students blogs to our class blog, but in the meantime, be patient while we figure them out and write something that we think you will want to read.
What do you like about having your very OWN blog? Why do you think it is important to blog?
Happy Blogging

Mrs. Toa,
Thank you so much for the blog. My brother taught me how to write a post. My favorite part about the blog is that I can write post and see what other people think about my post. If I have any questions, I can ask my brother because he has a blog. What is your favorite part about having a blog? You are the best teacher ever!
From,
Anna
Hi Anna
Wow! You are so motivated. I can’t wait to read your post. What a great idea using your brother as a source of information.
My favorite part of having a blog is that anyone, anywhere can see what we are doing. I love sharing ideas and looking at other people’s blogs for great ideas too.
I think by the end of the year you may on the way to being a blog expert!
Your blogging buddy
